NATE’s RAW MEAL REPLACEMENT BAR RECIPE

Makes 4 Protein Bars

raw meal replacement bar- 3 scoops Vega Health Optimizer
(Substitute any Protein Powder of choice)
- 2 Tsp Cocoa Powder
- 60 Carob Chips
- ¾ Cup Hemp Seed
- 2 Tbsp Shredded Coconut
- ½ Tsp Pumpkin Pie spice
- 1 Tsp Cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp Coconut oil (melted)
- ¾ cup water

Mix ingredients in a large bowl until all powder is dissolved. Separate in to four equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball. Shape into bars and store in freezer. Bars can be eaten right away or after at least 30 minutes in the freezer.

*If you want to take these to work with you and don’t have a cool place to store them, not to worry as the bars will hold until ready to be eaten.

- Roughly 419 calories per bar
- 28 grams Protein
- 24 grams Fat
- 22 grams of low glycemic Carbohydrates

The best part about these homemade bars is that the ingredients can be altered to suit any nutritional program.

For example; swap out the shredded coconut, coconut oil and cut back on the hemp seed and add a few raisins, goji berries or dates and you have more of Protein bar with carbohydrates.

Or

Substitute a low carbohydrate Rice protein powder instead of the Vega Health Optimizer to cut down on the amount of carbohydrates and satisfy a higher fat nutrition plan.
